Redrawn from a hand-painted artwork found in the Liberty archive, Mr Hunt takes cues from the Bloomsbury Group, the renowned British circle of artists and intellectuals from the early 20th century. The design’s large-scale paisleys, with their fluid and overlapping arrangement, are portrayed with an ikat texture effect, evocative of the group’s love for blending traditional elements with an eclectic, decorative flair. This print is part of the third chapter in this collection, Painted Garden, which explores the vibrant fusion of colour, pattern, and texture discovered in the process of studying artists who took inspiration from their own cultivated garden landscape – capturing the complex relationship between nature and creativity.

 

Crepe de chine is one of the best silk bases for daytime wear – it’s effortlessly luxe, with a lightweight drape that’s made more durable by its matte, slightly rough surface. Try using crepe de chine to create a louche effect with wide-leg trousers and loosely tailored shirts, or with fluted sleeves and ruffled accents for a romantic feel.

if you would prefer to have them cut in separate fat quarter pieces of 50cm x 65cm please add a note at cart/checkout.
